'The French Quarter is for Everyone' Cropped T-Shirt

French Quarter Festival was founded in 1984 to bring locals back into the historic French Quarter neighborhood, where extensive street and sidewalk repair work had recently been completed. The purpose was, in part, to serve as a gateway to the French Quarter: to remind locals of all that the beautiful, historic neighborhood had to offer and promote its many small locally-owned businesses.

The motto of the very first festival was ‘The French Quarter is for Everyone’. Forty years later, French Quarter Festival has grown into a celebration of all that is unique in Louisiana culture, including music, food, history and people. It serves to showcase and bolster our important cultural traditions, as well as provide economic development opportunities for culture-bearers and business owners. It brings together people from all over the world and all walks of life. Forty years later, we are proud to say that French Quarter Festival is truly for everyone.
